Fine Kitsch wasn’t meant to begin with lasagna. Yet, in an unexpected turn, what started as a casual experiment soon blossomed into something much bigger—sparked by Alyssa's deep love for lasagna—a venture that was unplanned but filled with delight. Sometimes, it's the unexpected ideas that end up becoming the most cherished chapters.
The Beef Lasagna, a dish we had perfected over time to suit her palate, became the heart of this first chapter. Not long after, we introduced our Chicken Pesto Lasagna, a fresh twist that combined tender chicken with the vibrant flavors of pesto, adding a new dimension to our growing lasagna repertoire. Each layer of these dishes told a story of creativity, experimentation, and the joy of bringing something exciting to the table.
This chapter was also a profound learning experience in the realities of starting a business. We faced the challenges of engaging with people, meeting demands, and balancing time between the business, work and life—our kids—all while pouring our heart and art into every layer. The journey taught us resilience, patience, and the importance of adaptability as we navigated the ups and downs of entrepreneurship.
